Silentarmy x Myself&Eye – “Ess16″

ess

It’s Devil’s Night later this evening, until then, here’s the new track “Ess16″ produced by Myself&Eye. Inspired by Sacha Kljestan and Chivas USA. Hopefully it lights a fire under their asses!! Big up big up Chuck9! Enjoy! Sorry the artwork isn’t as dope as I wanted it to be. I still have the original Essexteen logo I made back at Sacha’s house in Redondo. HA! Maybe next week we’ll have a video for the song… Maybe…

Silentarmy – “Ess16″

Back II The Lab

Lots to flood you with…

First, Tomorrow I will be droppig a new song called “Ess16″ produced by the homie Myself&Eye. I made this record hoping to fire up Chivas USA and my mans Sacha Kljestan to get that MLS Cup during the playoffs. Good Luck Sunday fellas… PS Someone should holler at Adidas to use the track for a commercial.

On another note, a new EP is in the works. As I predicted, It’s not going to be called “The Hangover”. I had a meeting yesturday and it was motivating in many ways… As of right now we’re looking for a first quarter 2010 release. Also in 2010 you can expect “Lik3 Cl0ck W3rk V0L. FR33″, some Autotune, a tour, and hopefully some Gut Rot Entertainment expansion.

more to come…

“I am so Kljestan”

Sacha Kljestan gets put on the spot for Chivas USA’s weekly feature. The 24 year old midfeilder drop the kid’s name when asked about entrance music. Below is the quote from mlsnet.com and below that, you’ll find a clip of the song.

The song is in a demo stage at the moment. I plan on rerecording and mixing it and make it GOOD. I for sure killed my verse. The song is produced by The Argonauts and also as of now features another artist. I haven’t given it a final title yet, but it’s been floated around under the titles, “ARG 5″, “Good Vibrations”, and the more recent “Escalation”. The Kljestan line goes, “…This game ill never question/ That is so Landon I am so Kljestan…”. If you don’t get the reference or confused by it, Landon questioned Beckham’s commitment to MLS and stuff.

Ice Cube To Do Raider Documentary for ESPN

“In 1980, Ronald Reagan was elected president, few white kids were listening to Rap and I was an 11-year-old kid in South Central Los Angeles,” Ice Cube said in a statement. “I was into sports and watched as many games as I could on TV—the Lakers, USC Football, UCLA, but I hadn’t developed a connection to any particular football team. But that fall, something clicked as I watched the Oakland Raiders.”

“The music, lyrics and images that I created with N.W.A as a solo artist and as an actor helped turn the Raiders into something more than a football team. It’s been 21 years since we released Straight Outta Compton, but to this day, kids all over the world buy Raiders gear, imitate the “Gangster Rap” style and try to connect with the South Central L.A. vibe that we brought to the masses.”

So I Use The Auto Tune Function Tastefully???

What up famo!
I’m sure you’re all aware of how I’ve been writing a new recordslashmixtapeslashwhateveritscalled… Basically I’ve been working on new songs. After listening to myself the past 2 days, I’m leaning to scrapping all these songs I’ve made since the lovefest interview. Here’s why;

I feel that I’ve distorted any originality I had. It seems I’ve been writing auto tune music subconsciously and thats why the songs sound better with the program. However, Not all songs have auto tune on them and there’s not a single song with autotune on the entire thing, but it’s about 50/50.
I kind of thought putting 2 versions of what piece of shit artwerk I’m ready to put out… Auto tuneless and Auto tuned.

To sum it all up; If you’ve heard “Okay You’re Right”, that’s the kind of shit I’m on. In my oppinion, auto tune isnt too original an that’s why I’m in the mindstate I’m in… Don’t get it twisted I really like my new shit I think it’s my best work but I need to take singing lessons or start over or something…

Ok I’m done whining…

It’s That Time Again!!!
